Vitamin D3 drops - 240 doses

4000 IU x 240 doses, 30ml

We have dissolved natural vitamin D3 in coconut oil extract, so it can be administered in high doses without capsules. It is tasteless and can also be dropped into food, making it easy to give to children.

More and more research and experts are drawing attention to the previously little known benefits and importance of vitamin D3. Among other things, it has been shown to play an important role in the immune system. In our product, vitamin D3 is dissolved in MCT oil derived from palm and coconut oil, which is also RSPO certified, for proper absorption and stability. We have also added natural tocopherols (vitamin E) to ensure stability.

GAL Vitamin D3, 4000 IU x 240 doses, 30ml

Why is vitamin D supplementation so important?

Vitamin D3 is undoubtedly the most important vitamin that everyone should supplement to stay healthy. Despite the numerous diseases associated with low vitamin D3 levels, virtually no one consumes enough of it.

Why vitamin D deficiency is so common?

Humans come from the equatorial region, where we got plenty of sunshine every day of the year, and our skin produced a lot of vitamin D3.It takes 2-3 days for vitamin D3 to get from our skin to our body, which is not enough time nowadays because of our modern cleaning habits. Our ancestors didn't use soap, shower gel or hot water, which is important because they can leach vitamin D3 from the skin, while sunscreens prevent it from forming. So our ancestors had high levels of D3, and we are genetically adapted to these high levels, so it's no wonder that the lack of it today leads to a lot of diseases. We are simply not built to function properly with lower levels of vitamin D3.

Another cause of vitamin D deficiency is poor kidney function. From Károly Mester's lectures and experience, we know that if the kidneys are not functioning properly, the body cannot produce active vitamin D hormone from vitamin D and it cannot be used properly. To help this process Herbafulvo products can be a good choice.

The benefits of ideal vitamin D intake

Over the last decade or two, a lot of research has looked at the relationship between vitamin D3 levels and disease. Based on this, optimal vitamin D levels contribute to the following benefits:

  • To build and maintain healthy and strong bones.
  • To help prevent flu and other infections, and to make them quicker and milder.
  • It lowers blood pressure, helps prevent stroke and provides general protection against cardiovascular disease.
  • It is effective in preventing and alleviating type I and type II diabetes.
  • It can help to alleviate autism, schizophrenia, epilepsy and Parkinson's disease.
  • Because of its effect on the immune system, it may also be effective against autoimmune processes, such as multiple sclerosis or inflammatory bowel disease.
  • It can alleviate and prevent depression, a known effect of sun exposure, due in part to its D3-boosting effect.
  • It boosts fertility in both men and women, while also increasing testosterone levels in men.
  • It can be effective in endometriosis, PCOS, pre-eclampsia, as well as reducing insulin resistance during pregnancy and the risk of preterm birth.
  • It helps prevent and treat TB, asthma, COPD and other respiratory diseases in addition to flu.

Measuring vitamin D levels

The vitamin D status of your body can easily be determined from your blood by measuring your 25-OH-cholecalciferol levels. Research suggests that it should ideally be between 75 and 175nmol/L (= 30-70ng/ml), but many experts believe that much higher levels are not harmful. Unfortunately, for most people this is well below the lower limit of healthy levels.

Vitamin D3 and sun exposure

The lack of sunshine, distance from the equator, our hygiene habits and modern lifestyles all prevent us from achieving adequate D3 levels through sun exposure. This is evidenced by a 2007 study of Hawaiian surfers, which found that most of them were vitamin D deficient while spending at least 22 hours a week in the sun, without sunscreen and wearing swimming trunks.

Unfortunately, it is not practical to supplement our D3 intake through diet, as vitamin D3-rich foods are very few and far between. This leaves us with the use of supplements, which can easily raise our body's D3 status to the optimal range of 75-175nmol/L (30-70ng/ml).

Why supplement vitamin D3 and not vitamin D2?

There are 3 types of vitamin D preparations: vitamin D2 extracted from mushrooms treated with UV-B lamps, i.e. virtually "sun-treated", which is not appropriate, as the positive effects of vitamin D2 consumption are not supported by studies, even though part of it is converted into vitamin D3.

In the second form, 'sun-dried' sheep's wool fat (lanolin), vitamin D3 is already produced, just as the fat in our skin forms D3 when exposed to UV-B. Vitamin D3 extracted from this is therefore the most natural form, as it is formed in the same way as when we sunbathe ourselves.

The third version is called vegan vitamin D3, which is produced by "feeding" genetically modified bacteria with petroleum derivatives.

Vitamin D overdose

Vitamin D3 overdose is rare, as it requires taking orders of magnitude more than the recommended daily amount over a long period of time. The harmful consequences of overdosing (excessive calcium levels in the blood and its deposition) can be prevented by vitamin A and vitamin K. Since vitamin K also helps vitamin D3 to work, it is advisable to take vitamin A and vitamin K in addition to D3.

Components of GAL Vitamin D3

In our product, natural vitamin D3 from "sun-dried" sheep's wool fat is dissolved in MCT oil, stabilised with a natural vitamin E complex. It does not contain any other additives and, because it is dissolved in oil, its absorption is excellent.
